vSphere 6.5 introduced support for VVol replication but on day 1 of the vSphere 6.5 GA there wasn’t a single storage vendor that supported it. VMware has a special Compatibility Guide category specifically for VVol support that shows which storage vendor arrays support VVols and additional information on supported array models, firmware and protocols.
