Partner Demand Center: Drive Demand for NSX and…

Network virtualization is the single biggest transformation impacting the networking industry today. With an estimated $10B in revenue up for grabs, it is no wonder we are all talking about how security and automation are driving the future of NSX. But, no matter how abundant the opportunities are, marketing support is still needed to drive awareness and generate demand before deals close. That is why we’ve added NSX-specific demand generation, lead nurture, and sales acceleration programs to the VMware Partner Demand Center – your one-stop shop to increasing customer engagement and closing more deals.

How to control NSX using Log Insight webhooks…

During the last few years we’ve had some fun demos at the Dutch VMUG Usercon. We’ve automated a coffee machine using vRealize Orchestrator. We did a vRealize Automation challenge where competitors could control a lightsaber when they successfully completed the blueprint. Because the Dutch VMUG Usercon is the largest in the world, 1.000 attendees, we needed to come up with something special. So we decided to control NSX using Log Insight webhooks and a Lego Mindstorms robot.

NSX Revenue Planning Calculator

The NSX revenue planning calculator is designed to show a service provider how to make additional revenue by upselling component NSX derived services. Many service providers I speak to are asking VMware the age-old question, ‘How can I make money from your bundles?’ Equally we also hear that the bundles are expensive, my response to this is – are you realizing the value and selling the functionality of the bundles or just internally operationalizing it?

Powershell: VMware NSX duplicate VTEP addresses

Roughly a half year ago we came across a situation in which an VMware NSX environment was having problems consistingly applying routing and firewall rules. After some troubleshooting it appeared to be a problem with duplicate VTEP (VXLAN Tunnel Enpoint) addresses on the vSphere hosts. We fixed the problem, but we wanted to have some sort of periodic check to alert us, should this occur again.
