I’m pretty excited with our acquisition of Wavefront, and I’m glad it’s finally closed. Honestly, what has impressed me with Wavefront is how easy it is to get it to ingest data. In fact, Wavefront has over 80(!) different kinds of data it can ingest. Since I have no life, one weekend, I was able to set up my Nest thermostat and send data to the local proxy (which handles all the forwarding to the SaaS service).
